Andrew has been highly involved in technology-based ventures over the last 20 years. He has gained valuable knowledge, experience and networks across a range of industry areas including med-tech, biotech and ICT in market regions including USA, Asia/Pacific and Europe. Since 1999 Andrew has been highly involved with innovative technology-based companies with significant international market opportunities. Andrew is a serial entrepreneur who has held various C-level roles, has gained valuable experience as a Director on various Boards, has managed venture capital and private equity style portfolios and provided Corporate Development consulting services.

Andrew has successfully developed and implemented product and market strategies which have delivered innovative products to market and established valuable strategic alliances. He has a proven track record in technology innovation, product development and commercialisation across a range of industries. Andrew has managed and executed all aspects of M&A transactions including undertaking deal lead roles. After receiving 1st class honours in his engineering degree from Adelaide University, Andrew contributed to innovative research and product development in Melbourne for Telstra Research Laboratories and Digital Equipment Corporation. Subsequently he assisted in the development of Micromedical Industries Ltd (renamed to Ventracor) leaving the role of Research and Development Manager in 1999.

Andrew has contributed to the growth of a number of businesses as CEO, a Director of the Board and a Corporate Development Consultant including: ActiveSky Inc (ICT), Glykoz Pty Ltd (Biotech), Medigard Ltd (Medical Device) and Groundwater Treatment Solutions Ltd (Environment/Engineering). Andrew was the founding CEO of the Gold Coast Innovation Centre, is a Director of qutbluebox Ltd and Chairman of Arthritis Relief Plus Ltd. Andrew has raised significant capital for technology based companies both by closing on investment capital and leveraging grant funding. Andrew has been a long-time member of Ausbiotech and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute for Company Directors.
